Is this thing on? Oh hi. I’m Shel of ShelsDreams. Some of you may already know me, and some may have stumbled in here by accident. Grab a chair and sit a spell.
I’m a librarian – which means I know a little about a lot of different things. It also means I’m interested in just about everything, and know how to research to satisfy my curiosity. My favorite books have always been those where you not only are captivated by the plot, but learn about something fairly obscure at the same time. “Vanished With the Rose” by the late (and very much lamented) Barbara Michaels is a prime example of this. I learned more about rose rustling and garden planning than I will probably ever need to know, while also being held spellbound by the mystery plot.
That being noted, it should go without saying that I have a lot of interests: Fiestaware, old Pyrex, crochet, embroidery, jewelry making, perfume collecting (some would say hoarding, but they’re wrong), cats, and of course, books.
