Welp, time, as it does, got away from me and it’s been way too long since I posted.  But more and more of my friends are getting away from Facebook, and I’ve been asked to resurrect a blog, so here goes.

When I left you, I was still researching crochet hooks.  Turns out, the big winners  there were the Clover Amour hooks.    I find myself reaching for those over everything else, to the point I may end up getting duplicates for some of my most-used sizes.  Why? Because I constantly have multiple projects going and sometimes more than one of them requires the same size hook.

I also had to eat my words (lucky for me they were tasty with ranch dressing), because I always said I didn’t care for shawls,  they fell off.  Enter the picture below….

…..and inspiration struck.  I’ve since made a couple of shawls, and a poncho for myself, and another shawl for my daughter, and a stole for a friend who said she needed something for her arms for summer weddings and graduations… Although the joke was on her with that one – the first time she wore it, her mother stole it and refuses to give it back!  It’s a stolen stole!

I’m also pretty excited to announce that we have a new member of the family.  No, no, not what  you’re thinking.  And not that either!  Meet Lettie the loom.  She is a 4-shaft, 6 treadle, 36” weaving width floor loom, made by Harrisville Designs.  Her story, and how she came to live with us will be in a separate post, in the very near future.
