So at the moment, it’s all about the crochet.

I finished my Seashell Hues wrap, and have worn it to work a couple of times. It always gets raves.

I’m also excited that I finally got to start my Old Gods of Appalachia fandom project. I bought the yarn for this a couple of months ago, but had to clear some stuff before I could start on it. It’s The Forest Through the Leaves wrap pattern from Ravelry, in Nimue Sock yarn by Wooly Wonky in Black Forest. This is more of a wide scarf than the oversized shawl/wrap size that the Seashell Hues project was, but I’m looking forward to finishing it so I can wear it. I might need a new OGOA tee though – the one I have is purple, and well, obviously I’m going to need green *grin*.

Nimue Sock yarn by Wooly Wonka in Black Forest. That was one of the projects I needed to get finished before I felt comfortable starting anything else. It turned out great, and she loves it. So does Toryn – I’m thinking my daughter is going to have to share! This is done in what used to be called Twirls, from Hobbii – a yarn site in Denmark that I like to order from. They had to rebrand as Sultan, and the dark ones haven’t shown back up yet. It’s a cake yarn made up of four thin strands held together, NOT twisted….which means it can be a challenge to work with. But once you get used to it, it’s not bad.

Upcoming projects – I still have the blanket kits I bought last year to do, and since I went shawl crazy, I have some more shawls and wraps planned. I really do enjoy wearing them to work. I also found a cowl pattern I actually really like, so I plan to do a few of those – since the “experimental” one I did turned out so well. And I still need to finish Jay’s blanket. It’s a corner to corner, and it’s about halfway finished – which means it will go faster, as it gets smaller as you go toward the other corner.

Since weaving requires a block of about three days, or at least one evening and two full days, I can’t keep Lettie dressed and projects […]

[1
